About Volusia County Community Assistance
Last-Modified: 2024-03-05 15:11:28Volusia County offers Community Assistance to income and program eligible households within the county. They provide grants, housing choice voucher (Section 8), and Human services to provide temporary emergency assistance and supportive services to those who apply. Applicants will more than likely meet with a case worker to determine eligibility.
The Community Assistance Division provides the following services to assist those that are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or struggle with low incomes:

I am suffering bad financially I've been very sick and the states looking to see if they can help put me in front of the list for elderly apartments that go by your rent right now I've been here almost a year struggling and the rent takes more than 70% of my social security retirement you help me once before last year and I hope you can this year I'd really appreciate it I'm waiting for a letter from the state they're going to help too not financially just helping me get into an apartment that I could be comfortable with thank you so much for your help I appreciate it and I'm very grateful for what you did for me already
I am currently behind on my rent. I have an 8 week old daughter and am out of work at the moment. I am on a waiting list for government assisted child care and in the process of looking for employment. I have never had to apply for rental assistance so this is all new to me.
