I've used this service before. I need More Than 1000 The staff was unfriendly. I waited less than 30 minutes I only talked to the lady at front desk. She called my name when I walked up there she smiled and said we have no money but how can I help you. After I told her she giggled and said we have no money and they do not help pay ambit energy bill. It was very odd that I was told to come down there only to say we have no money I walked 2 miles to get there.
I have been helped by CCA twice before but apparently there is a limit. I’m a senior and they told me they could not help me anymore after they turned me down. The two “robots” they have st the front desk are just that. They give you standard answers only and are very rude and uncaring. It’s obvious they are lazy and don’t want to be there and don’t care.
I went to CVS about a week ago for food &a housing for myself & my daughter. I'm in process of looking for a job due to previous living situation of 9 yrs. resulted in a 30 days to get out due to parent selling house within a 48 hr period. No warning and know for past 3 years I obligated myself to stay home to care for parent with stage 4 cancer which means no income coming in nor saved! All our belongings are in storage which I'm behind in payments so documents requested are not easily at my disposal. Only able to provide my ID and since no check stubs are available and I didn't have my daughter's social security card either (I don't carry it on me) cuz it's in storage the CCA aemployee only gave me a Food Voucher for a 1 time EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY VISIT!!! I am seriously offended by this facility not offering other options or not acting as if they really cared at all! I felt rushed and very disappointed in what this non profit business has become. They didn't want to take time to explain to some of the other people seeking assistance on how to scan their QC Code they posted on window. Explanation was "look under QR in your phone" and these people asking weren't Android acknowledgeable. Like I said this facility has seem to me gotten too big for their pants.
I have applied for rental assistance two weeks ago. Will I be helped with my situation? I had to contact social security for a document that was required ,and waited to receive document by mail,due to the pandemic they were only communicating by phone.will I be contacted again?
