I need help getting into an apartment. I have been homeless for 2 years and 3 months. I am 65 yrs old and have been on ssa disability for 9 years but now ssa retirement. I need help with move-in costs (security deposit) for an apartment. Everyday I search online for a place to live but rents are so expensive in the bay area and I've been here most of my life. I stay at local motels until my monthly money runs out and then I have to stay and sleep in my car until my next month's payment. This is both physically and mentally hard on me especially at my age. Can any programs help me get my own apartment?

I heed help, I am behind on my rent 2 months and my utilities 4 months. I lost my job, didn’t get any paper saying I was terminated, was told by word of mouth, I have no income, my rent is due.
