What documents are required to apply for cash payment help?

1 Answers so far
Answer:
For financial assistance, it is recommended to have the following documents handy: Real ID documents (Passports, SS Cards, Driver License, State IDs), rental or any financial agreements with legal stipulations that prevent you from breaking the contract without monetary losses, paystubs, bank statements (if any), other head of household income as well as spousal, dependents and social security numbers. If no SSN is available, you may use birth certificates for City of Reno's Housing Assistance Program.

Do you know if a person collecting unemployment can qualify to get rent assistance at this location?

1 Answers so far
Answer:
Yep. UI is considered income, but typically won't supplement the cost of living like normal job income has. Rent assistance is for struggling tenants. So as long as your income does not exceed the "line", you should be eligible.

My husband and I are both senior citizens on a fixed income that fell behind after retiring from our casino jobs. We fell behind on our power bill which is over $800. My husband has Copd and is on oxygen 24/7 and is recovering from severe cellulitis in his legs. He is also a Navy Veteran and has a nurse visit and treats him Three times a week. We also have furnace problems and cannot afford the repair. We do keep warm but need some assistance with any information on that. Thanking you in advance. Our home is mortgage free but we owe 2 months for leasing the land for our mobile home.
