Are you kidding me?? Community Housing and Shelter Services is an agency in Modesto, that is to assist people who have hardship paying rent. Ok, now this is a joke, this organization, requires you to have an income to pay the following months rent. Now, most who are looking for rent assistance are NOT thinking about the following month but the current month, and if people did have income they would not need your services!! Also, they take an assesment of where you live in MOdesto, and because you may live in a certain area of MOdesto, you wont qualify. When asked Why? they responded 'becuase that is how our funding is, and it does not cover your area of town' well why should that play any part, the point is I live in Modesto! The Lady who calls back the customers is also very rude shows no compassion to someone who may become homeless. These are FUNDS from HUD and this agency needs to reported of how they are handling their money.
I've used this service before. I need More Than 1000. The staff was friendly. I waited less than 10 minutes. This agency was a great help to my family and I. We had a family emergency and were not able to cover our rent for the month due this huge expense. I called Community Housing and Shelter Services to seek assistance. They were very helpful. They did require proof of my emergency expense however that was not a problem. In my families case I was able to receive assistance for the month to get back on track and they were very courteous and helpful. If it had not been for their assistance I do not know what may have happened. I would recommend this program to any of my family or friends in need. i also enjoyed the class that they provided me to better account for my monthly income. I am so very grateful! Thanks for all that you do!
I need emergency motel room vouchers for domestic violence fleeing mother
I am retired and homeless. How things happen. Landlord moves back into the condo I was living for 10 years.was paying $725 That was September 20, 2019. And it’s been couch to couch and me dealing with PTSD and physical need . Please show me a program that can help me receive Shelter. Every place I look for is cost is 12,000 15,000 for one bedroom and not Feeling safe. Please help
