Do they offer emergency cash to pay rent?

YES they do. This is a one time emergency assistance and amount they can help with depends on how much dfundimg they have. Most of the time SVDP has funding for emergency rental/deposit assistance but they are times when no funding is available.

Hello, my name is Jose due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The two restaurants where I worked have closed for a month and I do not have cash for food or rent. At this moment I have tried to look for a job, but it is closed everywhere. my wife and two girls, I hope and they can help me since as I am an immigrant I cannot receive federal aid.

Hi myself my husband and our three kids are currently living In a very small room due to the fact that we have no credit it has been very hard place to find somewhere to rent or that we can afford first and last months rent my husband has a steady job and works full-time however we still can't afford to do first and last months or find someone who be willing to accept are credit scores since we have no credit. Hi my daughter is in need of housing assistance, she is got 2 kids 4yr old girl and a 9 month old boy, but she is also pregnant again with a girl and almost due. She has no place to live. I offer her to come live with me for a few weeks because i live in a small studio with my other 2 teenage daughters. I know i cannot have her here because its too small. And the landlord doesn't alow me either. So she really need the help she is due in the middle of September 2020. I dont know what to do i can't kick her out with the kids and i cannot afford to move anywhere due to the covid19 i lost my job and i am having a really hard time finding another job.. as well as struggling getting the money together to make my rent payment every month... I am an imigrant and can't get any federal help..She is a USA citizen.
I am in need of security deposit to move into a apartment in same complex where I live I am currently disabled on ssi and live on the 5th floor in requested to move to ground floor because the elevators are always out of order I live in fear of having to climb the stairs due to my disability I am in need of deposit to move into unit.
