The Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program (MRVP) is a rentalassistance program funded through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The program consists of two components:
Mobile vouchers Project-based vouchersA mobile voucher istenant-based and can be used anywhere in Massachusetts. Project basedvouchers are vouchers that are attached to specific units and must beused for that unit. Both regional nonprofits and local housingauthorities administer this program.
To be eligiblefor the MRVP, households can earn no more than 200% of the federalpoverty level ($35,300 for a household of 4 persons as of April 2001). Income limits are higher or lower, depending on the size of thehousehold.
Other preferences and eligibility guidelines may apply. Each housing agency maintains its own waiting list for the programtherefore, interested parties should apply to those agencies where theywish to live.

Mondays 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursdays 1:00 pm to 4:00 pmAll other days and times are by appointment only.
All appointments are scheduled through your Program Representative

I applied for assistance and hav not heard back.
I am temporarily renting my friends basement with no kitchen or heat when we lose power. Could I make an appointment?
I recently had to move back in with my parents just a temporary thing until I can find a place to rent.I have a very low income as I am on disability. And I do not know how to go about getting some kind of assistance voucher where I can find my own place rather then be in a section 8 building.
I applied and cannot get a hold of anybody there, nobody answers the phone, nobody will reply to my many emails, my mini phone calls, nobody just seems to care.
