Financial assistance for housing issues to prevent homelessness
Rent or deposit assistance Mortgage assistance, short term stay support may be available to those who qualify
Other financial assistance may be available:
Gas and electricity re-connections Medical and dental needs Crisis child care Youth scholarship assistance Employment issues
Eligibility:
Residents of Eden Prairie and Chanhassen only.
Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday : 9:30 A.M.
to 1:00 P.M.
Wednesday: 4:00 P.M.
to 6:30 P.M.
Documentation needed:
Photo ID
Proof of address
To request help with financial assistance, call PROP and ask to speak to a Client Intake Specialist.
A telephone assessment will be completed to determine qualification for any of our services and to schedule an appointment.
If you are calling after hours and/or reach a voicemail, a Client Intake Specialist will return your call within one business day.
No walk-in appointments for financial requests.

I need cash assistance pay my rent. I have not paid it the last 2 months. I also need assistance for paying utilities If I can find a different place to live, I will need help moving. My son and I are both disabled. Thank you, Mary Straiton)
I am a disabled senior live alone. I worked up til April 20th this year and could not continue due to my condition I have applied for help through the county and Unemployment I iced paycheck to paycheck. I am in need of cash assistance and rent due June 1st 2020. With hopes something will kick in for me. I’m scared but won’t give up hope. Thanks for your consideration
I am in need of rental assistance, this is going to be my first month here after being homeless, my rent is coming due and I am on disability and I am short $500 on disability for my rent does not include my lights, gas.
