About Chatham County Housing Authority

This program can be used to pay or help pay past due rent to avoid eviction, final notices or disconnected utilities when the usual means of payment has discontinued through no fault of the client or there was unexpected expenses.
The program is not intended to subsidize those who have created their own emergencies. It is not intended for those who have experienced no change in income, but simply failed to budget for routine household bills.
