Last-Modified: 2024-03-13 07:41:05Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing ProgramOn February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009,which ludes $1.5 billion for a Homelessness Prevention Fund.
Funding for this program, called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), is being distributed based on the formula used for the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) program.
Grantees may provide rental assistance or services to eligible program participants who are residing or would like to reside outside their jurisdiction. They may also fund ubgrantees that serve persons outside of the jurisdiction, subgrantees that are located outside of the jurisdiction, and subgrantees that serve multiple jurisdictions.
A grantee may establish more stringent requirements, such as requiring that HPRP funds be spent within the jurisdiction or establishing a residency requirement,but HUD is not setting these requirements.

I need help with rent but im in a situation I've been here since mid December 2019 landlord has had me here with a fridge that he knew was no good called him over and over he said he was gonna find me oneok still waiting restroom been having problems has not came to fix right now with the Pandemic going on it's been 2 months that we have been showering with cold water he took the meter reader for hott water off I owe 860 rent he don't want to fix I was buying and buying food day after day cause no fidge i

Me and my spouse have been homeless for an entire year and a half we been to homeless shelters and have had a lot of trouble finding resources without a phone or I.d. social due to covid 19 it's been really hard to obtain anything I received a stimulus.and haven't been able to cash paper check without i.d. it's been a real struggle and how do I go about applying for rapid rehousing?
