Professional case managers offer information, referrals, and other homeless prevention services to renters and homeowners facing short-term crises. Longer-term, more intensive services are also available for families working toward self-sufficiency.
HRI provides previously homeless families much needed post-shelter supports for up to two years. With financial pressures reduced, participants take advantage of a constructive and supportive environment to increase the skills and emotional stability to build independent lives including:Supportive services to address the barriers creating their housing crisis and promoting self-sufficiency such as collaborating with community agencies to provide:
Financial/Household management Employment Education/Training Transportation Child CareAgency Referrals and CollaborationRent subsidies allowing families to pay only 30% of their income for rent. Establishment of individual goal plans to prepare and maintain affordable housing of their own.
Permanent housing placement assistance upon program completion. Client follow-up

I would like to know what I can do to get help with housing
Only 1 good lady there little old white lady I don’t know if she is still there but they need to be flagged because they are biased and very unprofessional shady and outright disrespectful
I have been trying and trying to get help thru these people to no avail. Its almost as if they don't even exist.

How can I get help with hotels vouchers in Kalamazoo Michigan if I am homeless and the shelter is closed please help me
I feel HRI is extremely bias .I myself is disabled and have a fixed income and am unable to work with 2 small children, one middle school age. I've contacted HRI and had been screened 3 times at the most . My results of the screen assistance is only help with first months rent and security deposit. My mind is boggled because I am labeled with my disability long term homelessness crisis . I have no other income besides SSDI. I'm also moved by how their on MSHDA with specified housing locations with my income and special situations as lead agency. You would have thought someone would have put me on one of those waiting list. Thank you
