About Shenango Valley Urban League
Last-Modified: 2024-02-24 07:04:20The Shenango Valley Urban League is certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide comprehensive housing counseling in Western Pennsylvania. Funded by HUD, the Urban League provides services at no cost.
The Homeless Assistance Program (HAP) provides one months rent to individuals facing eviction due to non-payment. The Housing department also provides discrimination services through the Shenango Valley Community Resource Board (CHRB).
The purpose is to implement and monitor fair housing activities in the City of Sharon. The Urban League is certified by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency to serve as a consumer credit counseling agency under the states mortgage assistance program. In partnership with the Salvation Army, the Emergency Shelter Program assists individuals in need of emergency shelter due to being displaced by a fire or other unforeseen circumstances.

Im being evicted i live in trumbull county ohio i want to move to pa, Farrell or in that area can i get help with moving into an apartment?
Im behind in my rent since March is there any place that can help me. My lease is up in a few days and im stuck with no place to go.. please help.. thanks
I was helped by the urban league, years and years ago, and they were absolutely amazing! They didn't judge me, they treated me like a decent person, I didn't feel less than anyone. And they were absolutely wonderful to my children and I.
