I have been trying to find housing. I'm not having any luck. I got approved for an apartment in March of 2019 at Oconee Springs apt ,here in gainesville with the LIHTC program. I put a holding fee on the apt. I check in every couple of months with them. I went in March of this year and they said the program had been discontinued. I asked why they didnt tell me when I was checking in with them and nobody had a answer. They told me I dont have enough income to rent an apartment now. My rent was suppose to be $212 a month. I get $803 a month. Every apart ment I check with want 3 times the rent or they say they have long waiting list. Some say the waiting list are 4 years long. I need help finding and securing an apartment. Last year I was homeless and sleeping in a car. I moved in with my son in january. Him and his family are moving August 1st and I have nowhere to go. I hope you can help me

I called 9th district cause me and my husband will be on street Dec 1st 2020 and they said they couldnt help us because $783 is all he draws and it wasn't enough efficient amount if income for them to help us. Why? We can't live in government apartments and they are not renting any low income apartments. But they can help someone with no income and somebody that has more income than us. So why can't y'all help us?

Hi I need help renting a place, I have two small children, one 18 months and one 6 months, their daddy is away at the moment and I have no help, I do a few jobs here and there for individual people to make enough money to get diapers and stuff they need. I just don't have enough to pay rent or utilities at the moment; if we were in a more stable place of our own things would be smoother for me and my children for me to be able to make more income.
