Last-Modified: 2023-11-29 03:01:31Through the Emergency Assistance Program, South Louisville Community Ministries is able to meet individuals and families face-to-face, to listen to their stories, and to assess their immediate, individual basic needsfood, health, utilities, and shelter.
From there, they work with local agencies and churches to meet those needs.
They meet their clients in their time of crisis: lost jobs, spouse abuse, food stamp cut-offs, water leaks, illnesses, and the list continues
They work to stabilize their situations, giving them the needed week or month to apply for longer term assistance, paying off debt, or finding a new job.
Their goal is to stabilize a clients financial situation for 30 daysensuring heat, lights, water, and shelter.
SLCM assists with:
LG&E payments on brown bills, accounts that have had the service disconnected, or previous balances that must be paid prior to connection at a new residence.
Payments for cut-off notices on water bills or accounts that have had service disconnected.
Shelter payments where the client has received a late notice or eviction notice for rent, a late fee or a foreclosure notice on mortgage, or deposit first month's rent due for new accommodation.
Medications (that are medically necessary and not a controlled substance).
With this program funds are sometimes available for glasses and limited medical equipment as well.

We do this by demonstrating respectful compassion; practicing faithful stewardship; and providing: • emergency assistance with food, medicine, housing and utilities • comprehensive referral services and partnerships (individual, family and marriage counseling) • daily enrichment services for senior adults

financial assistance for the payment of my apartment, the amount of which is $ 750.00 address: After having worked for 5 to 6 years, I unfortunately was dismissed, dismissing on 20/03/2020 from work during medical treatment (going to the doctor and Therapy) in this disappointment of physical pain in the arm and unemployment. please, I would like financial assistance (for the payment of the house, the LG medical bill and other family charges) unemployment which has been delayed by several 09, 10 weeks to pass. please with this money I would train to be able to find a job adapting to the health situation of my right arm and finger.

I owe 2 mos. Rent from last fall, my landlord has been very patient with me. I have applied for food stamps several times, either it didn't go through or I have repossess it again. I had to take early retirement last fall because unemployment would not return my calls, and still haven't, they owe me pandemic pay for all this time, I believe!
