The Sarasota Florida Housing Authority offers some rental assistance programs that may help you in a time of need. They have a department called the Resident Opportunities and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) department. You can get a counselor assigned to you that can help you find grants, help on paying your rent, Section 8.

My husband and I are both unemployed. I am currently enrolled in school to better myself for my family. We are living off my husbands unemployment and we need help paying rent. We are both currently looking for employment with no luck. I am scared we are going to get evicted soon and we will have no place to go. Is there any organizations that can help pay rent so this doesn't happen. I have 2 children and I am scared to death of having to live on the streets. Please help!!!

I am a single mother of 2 children and have just lost my job, on top of that i was just the victim of a home invasion where all my money was taken. my landlord doesn\'t seem to care cause she decided to give me a 3 day notice to pay 850.00 dollars or vacate the apt. i don\'t know what to do , i\'m scared to death of having my children taken from me or being homeless.If anyone can help or has ideas on how i can get help please call me at 941-328-2743 we have tryed all churches and such options we need new ideas thank you.

My name is Don and I am currently unemployed and in need of help with my rent, I have been without a job since janurary 8 and unable to find work, I am also in the process of going to school to obtain a job with a career. I have 2 children and a wife but without any money coming in we will be evicted as I am currently 2 and a half months behind on my rent, and a month behind on my utilities. Please will some one help us out with our rent, we owe $3000.00, but she would take half that if we can come up with it. I am at my wits end over this. Thank you , Don
