Assistance is offered through a network of area agencies pooling resources and information to give applicants access to all available assistance to help with their current needs. Emergency assistance with needs such as rent/utility payments may be available at times. Please contact them directly for more information or to schedule an appointment.Applicants withing to receive emergency assistance should bring documentation including the following. Photo identification for head of householdSocial Security cards for all family membersIdentification for all family members (birth certificate, drivers license)Proof of residency (rent receipts, utility bills, school or employment records, mortgage)Proof of income for the past 60 days or longer (pay stubs, proof of child support/alimony, award letters from SSA, Veterans, Workers or Unemployment Compensation, proof of self-employment income, tax returns)If no income, a support statement from family or friends who have been supporting youProof of assets, if any (bank/credit union statements, CDS, retirement funds, cash value of life insurance, stocks, bonds, trust funds, ownership of property)Proof of disability (doctors statement, disability determination or payments)Status of any other assistance applied for (WAGES, SSI/SSA, Unemployment or Workers Compensation)Proof of expenses for the past 30 days (receipts)Proof of unpaid bills (rent or mortgage, utility, eviction or foreclosure notices, collection notices)

You are nit helping people you make it so hard with gwad of house with three kids no income because lost job it's who you know and you need to be reported my daughter have the babies and need help with her rent had all documents but you denied her because she had no job at the time shame on you
I want to apply for help for assistant rent the government offer for pay your rent and now I want to know why I need to do and see I'm Elizabeth to her head for rent

This office will not help you if you are white. Each time I provided the required documents, they wanted more documents over a four month period. This was for a hand up not a handout. The ONLY helpful person there is the woman who handles FPL. They don’t tell the truth and really offer zero support. Terrible place...shame on them.
