I have recently obtain an apartment in Lincoln, NE. I am struggling just to pay my monthly bills. Such as Gas bill car insurance rent. It's very hard living on Social security.
I'm 35 years old and I have never had to apply for any kind of assistance before. I was literally in tears when my power was shut off due to inability to pay. I reached out to then and not only were they super sweet and understanding and never made me feel embarrassed. They took care of me right away and paid my past due balance so I could get ny power back on. I can't tell you how truly grateful I am to this program. When I get back on my feet I'm going to pay it forward so I can help others.
